Why do I need to provide all this information before exporting and grant access to email addresses?
Our goal is to provide the most efficient service possible. As a prerequisite for the export, the customer is required to create an empty Google Sheets and a Looker Studio report.
Additionally, you need to add two specific email addresses to Universal Analytics, Google Sheets, and Looker Studio:
After a successful export, both email addresses can be removed.
How do I grant access to Universal Analytics?
Log in to the old Google Universal Analytics and click on “Admin.” In the middle column under “Property,” you will find the link “Property Access Management,” click on it. Then you will see a “Property Access Management” window. You can add new users by clicking the blue “Plus Sign” in the upper right corner.
Choose “Viewer” as the role. After a successful export, you can remove the email addresses.
How do I grant access to the Google Sheets URL?
Create an empty table in Google Sheets for the exported data. The sheet naming is irrelevant for the export. This table will later be connected to Google Looker Studio.
